- <p> The Who aren't who they used to be. The archetypal renegade
- band not only tore concerts and parties to pieces; they burned
- themselves out. Drummer Keith Moon died of a drug overdose in
- 1978. Bandleader Pete Townshend's hearing is shot. In 1982
- Townshend, lead singer Roger Daltrey and John Entwistle
- performed a farewell tour and drifted apart. Last week, however,
- the Who announced they will make a 25th anniversary tour,
- including a revival of their 1969 rock opera Tommy. "I've only
- just about recovered from seven years ago," says a much mellowed
- Townshend. "I hope to get through this with only a few aching
- limbs."
